Definido Vinhas Velhas Red 2022 captures the essence of Portuguese tradition and terroir, showing the unrivalled potential of old vines. Intense ruby in colour, it seduces at first sight, promising a rich and memorable experience. This wine is an invitation to contemplation. It pairs well with intense dishes such as roast lamb, grilled meats or long-aged cheeses. It is also a wine with ageing potential, promising to evolve and reveal new layers over time.

Vinification: The grapes were transported to the entrance of the winery, where the second sorting took place. The perfect bunches were sent by gravity to the old cement vats where the alcoholic fermentation took place naturally and without the addition of anything. After being cleaned, the malolactic fermentation took place in the same vats. 22 months later, each vat was selected for the batches.

Tasting Notes: A wine with a deep, complex and austere aroma, with a mineral profile and floral notes, as well as cocoa and forest fruits. With a silky texture and firm structure, it has very polished tannins and a very fine, long and seductive finish.
