Xisto Ilimitado White 2023

Xisto Ilimitado 2023 is a white wine produced in the Douro region by winemaker Luís Seabra. It is known for its minimalist approach and for valorising the region's terroirs. It goes very well with roast poultry, white fish, seafood and especially spicier dishes.

Vinification: The grapes were crushed and destemmed before pressing without any prior maceration. The must obtained was decanted at low temperature for 24 to 48 hours. Fermentation by indigenous yeasts took place in 500 and 228 litre barrels.
500 and 228 litre barrels, 30% of the wine fermented and aged in stainless steel vats. The total ageing period was 9 months.

Tasting notes: On the nose, stone fruit and orchard fruit abound, with a damp core and white pepper on the dominant aromas. On the palate, it's impressively bright and mineral, with a great balance between power and lift. Lemon, green apple and pear flavours mingle with a touch of floral and slate mineral tones. It's a wine that's juicy and mineral at the same time.
