Luís Seabra Xisto Cru White 2023 is a white wine from the Douro region that purely expresses the mineral character of the region's schist soils. Made from old vines, it reflects Luís Seabra's minimalist philosophy, focused on the authenticity of the terroir and minimal oenological intervention. It is an elegant, austere wine, deeply faithful to its origins, favouring freshness, texture and precision over aromatic exuberance.

Vinification: Spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts, respecting the natural rhythm of the must. The wine is partially aged in used French oak barrels, where it remains in contact with the fine lees, without intense battonage. This method results in a raw and direct profile, with a balance between structure and acidity, highlighting the character of the schist and the old vines of the Douro.

Tasting Notes: Elegant and restrained nose, with aromas of white flowers, fresh citrus, wet stone and a slight hint of gunpowder. On the palate, it is vibrant, dry and deeply mineral, with firm acidity and a salty texture that prolongs the finish. It is a wine of great precision, with energy and complexity, reflecting the discreet hand of the producer and the authentic character of the Douro slopes.
