Cartuxa Tinto 2020
Cartuxa Tinto 2020
Its name is inspired by the Carthusian monks who, since 1598, have practised a solitary life of prayer in the Monastery of Cartuxa, owned by the Eugénio de Almeida Foundation and where, in the silence of its cellars, it is aged. Cartuxa wine has a strong personality and comes from a rigorous selection. First produced in 1986, it epitomises tradition and quality.
Cartuxa Red 2019 was produced from a blend of Aragonez, Trincadeira and Alicante Bouchet grape varieties, among others. It is fermented in stainless steel vats at a temperature of 27º. It aged for 12 months in French oak barrels and 12 months in the bottle before being launched onto the market.
