Casa d'Arrochella 'Grandes Quintas' Vinha do Cerval 2016
Casa d'Arrochella 'Grandes Quintas' Vinhas do Cerval 2016
Casa d'Arrochella 'Grandes Quintas' Vinhas do Cerval 2016 is a red wine with a surprisingly fresh profile, with red fruits and some spice. Its organoleptic characteristics suggest that it will age very well in the bottle for the next 10 to 15 years. Very versatile and well-designed.
Tasting notes: Deep and concentrated garnet red color. The nose suggests chocolatey notes, black fruit surrounded by suggestive spicy and floral notes, on a delicately balsamic and mineral background. On the palate, it's a complex but very elegant wine. The harmony between the black fruit and the oak, spicy and balsamic notes stands out, and the finish is firm, dry and fresh, ending with great persistence.
Vinification: September 2015, manual harvest in 20 kg boxes, 100% destemming, fermentation in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature of 24/26ºC for 9 days. Malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels. Aged for 18 months in French oak barrels.
Grape varieties: Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz and Tinta Amarela
Winemaker: Luís Soares Duarte
