Laurent-Perrier Brut Millésimé 2015
Laurent-Perrier Brut Millésimé 2015
Laurent-Perrier Brut Millesimé is the choice of an exceptional year in which only a selection of the Grands Crus of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir will go into the composition of a future iteration of Grand Siècle. A rare and exceptional wine that expresses the character of a year in the style of Laurent-Perrier.
Vinification: 2015 was characterised by extreme weather events: a mild, rainy winter gave way to a spring contrasted by a freezing period followed by a period of intense heat and a stormy summer. The cold, dry month of September allowed the grapes to reach perfect ripeness. Exclusively made from Chardonnay crus from the Côte des Blancs and Pinot Noir from the Reims Mountains.
Tasting Notes: White gold in colour with very fine, persistent bubbles. A very complex nose with aromas of beeswax, candied lemons, honeysuckle and hawthorn followed by notes of toasted bread and orange. On the palate, a lively attack that gives way to a creamy, elegant palate with notes of candied lemon and honeysuckle.
Varieties: Chardonnay 50% & Pinot Noir 50%

A blend of equal parts Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, as usual, this bottle of the 2015 Brut Millésimé was disgorged in November 2022 with seven grams per liter dosage. Offering up aromas of confit citrus and peach mingled with notes of fresh bread, buttered toast and white flowers, it's medium to full-bodied, pillowy and layered, with good concentration and chalky grip on the finish.
This is in a new bottle, like the stout ones used for the rosé and blanc de blancs. This is very structured with a density and richness with hints of strawberry to the apple character. Bubbles turn fine textured at the end. Delicious flavors of biscuits and dried apple in the finish. Special character to this because of the very ripe vintage. Disgorged in November 2021. This is half chardonnay and half pinot noir. This can age well due to the phenolics. Drink or hold.
