Quinta da Romeira Morgado de Sta. Catherina Reserva 2022
Quinta da Romeira Morgado de Sta. Catherina Reserva 2022
Quinta da Romeira Morgado de Sta. Catherina Reserva 2022 is an emblematic wine from the Bucelas region, produced exclusively from the Arinto grape variety, known for its vibrant acidity and excellent ageing potential. Ideal for pairing with richer dishes based on fish, seafood or poultry. It is also a wine for laying down, with the potential to evolve well in the bottle for several years, gaining complexity and elegance with time. It is considered one of the most notable references of the Bucelas appellation.
Vinification: Fermented in stainless steel and aged for 9 to 10 months in French oak barrels, with batonnage to integrate the wood without compromising the freshness of the grape variety.
Tasting Notes: Citrus yellow colour with slight golden reflections. On the nose, it expresses yellow-fleshed fruits such as ripe nectarine, minerality and complexity marked by the influence of ageing in wood. On the palate, it has excellent Atlantic acidity, a broad, well-balanced volume perception with freshness and persistent aromatic touches. Everything culminates in a firm and enveloping finish, with good potential for evolution in the coming years.

Aromas of laurel, pears and hints of green olives. The palate is attractive and flavorful, intense and agile, timid but with personality and poise. This comes from Bucelas, a tiny 135-hectare appellation, where only arinto is allowed. Fermented in a combination of French oak casks and stainless steel. Aged for 9 months in a combination of different French oak vessels. Drink now.
