Villa Oeiras Vinho Generoso 2014 is a quality fortified wine from the Oeiras region. With an intense amber colour and aromatic notes that evoke dried fruit, honey and spices, this wine has a complexity that develops over time. Ideal with desserts or enjoyed neat, it is an excellent choice for lovers of fortified wines.

Vinification: Manual harvest. Fermentation with the addition of 77% brandy (from the Lourinhã region) halfway through the fermentation process. Ageing in Portuguese and French oak barrels.

Tasting notes: Aroma of dried fruit, spices, tobacco and toffe. Velvety, elegant acidity well matched with sweetness. Pronounced intensity. In the mouth, medium-sweet, rich on the palate with elegant acidity well balanced with sweetness, with an elegant and persistent finish.

Arinto, Galego Dourado and Ratinho. Two thousand bottles of this special edition were produced. Its aroma is characterised by notes of tea and dried fruit such as almonds, figs and plums, while its fresh and elegant mouthfeel, quite persistent and textured, reveals salinity and presence.

Deep golden colour. Deep, nutty aroma, with intense caramelised tangy apricot, dried grasses and barley sugar notes. It's sweet and surprises me with an unusual flavour, like orange-infused biscuits. Viscous, deep and tangy with all that bitter orange on the finish. Remarkably fresh and impressive length with a spicy aftertaste that reminds me of ginger and orange biscuits. Long live Carcavelos! It would be great if you could buy this in a half bottle.
