Quinta de La Rosa is a good example of the diversity of the Douro, with vineyards from around 100 metres above sea level, next to the river in the imposing Vale do Inferno, to 500 metres above sea level in the Lamelas vineyard. Always with a privileged view of the river Douro, all the grapes at the Quinta are A - the best the region has to offer

Vinification: All the grapes used in this wine come from Quinta de La Rosa. Fermented in stainless steel vats before ageing for 12 months in French oak barrels (30% new wood). The poor, schist soils, combined with a very varied topography, favour full-bodied wines with excellent levels of minerality, acidity and freshness.

Producer's tasting notes: Rich and seductive aroma, fresh ripe fruit, with hints of undergrowth and spices. Medium-bodied, soft and vibrant. A typical Quinta de la Rosa Douro where the generosity of the ripe grapes is always balanced by vibrant acidity. Elegance and character are the words that best describe this wine.

Paprika, sliced chilis and cherries on the nose. It’s spicy and fleshy with a medium to full body, medium tannins and a tasty finish. Touriga nacional, touriga franca, sousao and tinta roriz. Drink now or hold.

Richly structured and dense, the wine is balanced with tannins already integrated with the black fruits. This wine, with acidity and a mineral texture, will age further. Drink from 2026.

A fragrant overtone of milled pepper, paprika and sandalwood aromas offers an enticing entry point for this suave, medium-bodied red. Layers limber, sculpted tannins and lively acidity over a focused core of ripe mulberry, black plum, violet and shiso leaf notes. Long and loamy on the finish.
