Quinta Nova de Nossa Senhora do Carmo Mirabilis White 2022

Mirabilis Branco is a sublime wine, smooth and crisp on the palate, made from grapes from small centenary old vineyards where Viosinho and Gouveio predominate, but also a wide variety of other grape varieties of very scarce production, which are almost non-existent in the region.

Vineyards: Small, tight bunches and single berries mean that production per hectare does not exceed 2300 kg, on soils at an altitude of over 500 metres, geologically classified as schist/granite transition soils, in the parishes of Vilar de Maçada, Cabeda, Tabuaço and Candedo, which give the musts an impressive genuineness.

Winemaking: The wood selected is deliberately second and third year, with only a small percentage of new wood, so as not to mark and slowly integrate the intense fruit, focusing mainly on French and Hungarian oak, resulting in a wine of extreme elegance, where freshness and acidity intertwine.
