Mouchão 2016
Mouchão 2016
A unique and special wine, made with red grapes from old vines and vinified in open stone lagares. A true Alentejo classic.
Winemaking Vineyards: Mouchão's red grapes are vinified in open stone lagares, with whole bunches and stalks. The harvest is crucial for the balance between sugars, acids and ripeness. The wine ferments for 4 to 7 days, undergoes malolactic fermentation in wooden casks and ages for 4 years in the same casks and 18 months in the bottle.
Tasting notes: Intense garnet color, aromas of black fruit, plum jam, mint, ripe olives, with fresh notes of mint, eucalyptus and slightly green stalks Wonderfully fresh and structured, yet balanced, and with expressive and elegant tannins ensuring longevity.
Varieties: Alicante Bouschet and Trincadeira
